No. It really only takes one suggestion.
We accept nominations all the time. It's best to get your suggestions to us as early as possible, so we can research them carefully and make the best decision on the speaker roster.
We strictly enforce a time limit for all speakers. We've found that short talks, clearly communicating a single idea, are most compelling. Those carefully prepared 10 to 12 minutes can have astonishing impact — and many great talks these days are just 6 to 8 minutes!
At TEDxShar e Naw, everyone hears every presentation; there are no breakout sessions or tracks, no keynotes, and very rarely are there panels (though we have had debates).
TEDxShar e Naw offers speakers an honorarium in recognition of the work they put into their talk. We also cover a full pass to the event. Most speakers stay for the whole event, soaking up the talks and connecting with other attendees. Other benefits include pre-event coaching and training, and special gatherings for networking. We are committed to creating an experience that's tremendously fulfilling and beneficial on all sides.
