Time is a powerful force that shapes our lives, but it can often feel overwhelming, especially when loneliness sets in, even with a circle of friends, we sometimes find ourselves craving something deeper, a way to connect with ourselves beyond conversations and distractions. I recently came across something that offered me a new perspective on how to interact with time and helping me escape from darkest moments of my life:
How to travel in time? Read.
Reading is like stepping into another world. Did you notice that when you are reading a good book, you feel that you’re no longer just in the present moment? You can travel to the past, the future, or a different place altogether. It gives your mind a break from whatever is disturbing your mind offering a new perspective.
How to escape time? Listen to music.
Music has a magical way of pulling us out of our thoughts, it creates a bubble where time doesn’t seem to matter, giving us a moment to simply be.
How to feel time? Write.
When you write down your thoughts or feelings, you’re slowing down to really experience the moment, it’s a way of connecting with yourself and processing emotions that can otherwise make your life a nightmare.
How to release time? Breathe.
When time feels heavy, sometimes all we need is to breathe. Taking deep breaths helps calm the mind, reminding us that the only moment we have is right now.
So yeah here we are at the end of this conversation, just a simple reminder that sometime when loneliness or anxiety sneaks in, these small actions can help us reconnect with ourselves.
